The fastest way to get the monthly PDF statements from Wise Business that you need for a profit & loss statement: the official PDFs, with the printed balances that let every figure reconcile.

THE SHORT VERSION
  • Statements are generated per currency balance: open the balance, then find “Statements” or “Statements and reports.”
  • Wise builds statements on demand for any range; pick full calendar months so every statement reconciles cleanly.
  • Download a separate PDF for each currency balance and each jar; no single statement covers them all.
  • The full account history stays available for the life of the account, so old months can still be generated.
  • Choose the PDF statement, not the CSV export; the PDF prints the opening and closing balances a P&L is reconciled against.

Where Wise Business keeps your statements

Balance → Statements (or “Statements and reports”)

Statements are easiest to download on a desktop browser rather than the mobile app. If the exact wording differs from the steps below, look for “Statements” or “Statements & Documents”; banks tuck it under the account or a top-level menu.

Step by step

  1. 01Sign in at wise.com on a desktop browser.
  2. 02Open the balance (currency account) you want, then look for “Statements” or “Statements and reports.”
  3. 03Choose PDF as the format and select a full calendar month as the date range.
  4. 04Download the statement, then repeat for each month.
  5. 05Repeat the whole process for every currency balance and jar you use; each produces its own statement.
Download the PDF, not a screenshot or a spreadsheet export. RapidPnL reads the official statement PDF because it carries the beginning and ending balances. That's what lets us prove your P&L reconciles to the penny. Wise generates statements on demand for any date range, which is handy but easy to misuse: a custom range won't line up with anything. Generate clean calendar-month statements, and download one per currency balance (and per jar) rather than assuming one PDF covers the whole account. For a US P&L, the USD statement is the one that reconciles directly; statements in other currencies are reported in that currency.

From the mobile app

The desktop site is the reliable route, but if you only have your phone, most months are reachable from the app too. Menu placement changes more often on mobile, so treat these as the general path rather than exact taps.

  1. 01Open the Wise app and sign in to the business profile.
  2. 02Tap the currency balance, then look for a statements or documents option.
  3. 03Set the range to a full calendar month, choose PDF, and save or share the file.
  4. 04If the app fights you on ranges or formats, wise.com in a desktop browser offers the same generator with more room.

How far back can you go?

Wise keeps your full transaction history for the life of the account, so statements can be generated for any past period. If you need older statements than appear online, contact the bank to request them.

Turn those statements into a P&L

Upload the PDFs and get a management-use profit & loss in minutes, with every statement reconciled to the penny. $49 for 3 months, then $9 each additional month. Full refund if we can't reconcile.

The free statement is read, categorized, and reconciled on screen before you pay anything. One per person; no card required.

What the statement PDF contains, and why it matters

A monthly statement is more than a list of transactions. It prints three things a raw export never does: the beginning balance, the ending balance, and the totals for the cycle. Those printed balances are what make the document verifiable. RapidPnL adds the beginning balance to every transaction on the statement and checks that the result equals the printed ending balance, to the penny. If the math holds, you know nothing was missed, misread, or counted twice. If it doesn't, the statement is flagged and reviewed rather than quietly delivered with broken numbers. No AI-generated figure ever lands on the P&L; the AI only reads and categorizes, and deterministic code does all of the arithmetic.

This is exactly why transaction exports and screenshots fall short. A CSV export is a bare list with no printed balances, so there is nothing independent to check it against; a missing week or a duplicated day would pass unnoticed. Screenshots and photos are worse: they capture part of a page, at whatever quality your screen and camera allow, with no totals at all. The official monthly statement PDF is the one document your bank has already committed to, balances included, which is why it's the required input.

Format matters too. Statements downloaded from your bank's website are text-based PDFs: the characters are real text that software can read precisely. A scanned paper statement is a picture of text, and pictures introduce read errors that no reconciliation gate can fully repair. If all you have is paper, it's almost always faster to download the digital original from online banking than to scan. Each PDF can be up to 10 MB, which comfortably fits even long business statements.

Finally, gather everything in one pass. If the business runs through a checking account, a savings account, and a credit card, download all of them for every month in your period. RapidPnL matches card payments between the bank and card statements so the payment isn't counted once as a bank withdrawal and again as card spending, and transfers between your own accounts are excluded from income and expenses entirely. One complete set of PDFs, uploaded together, produces one clean P&L; a partial set leaves gaps you would otherwise have to explain to a lender.

If something goes wrong

The problems below cover most of what goes sideways when downloading statements from Wise Business, with the quickest way out of each.

Your statement covers an odd date range

Wise built whatever range you asked for. Regenerate it as a full calendar month (the 1st through the last day) so the opening and closing balances line up month to month.

Transactions seem to be missing from a statement

They are probably on a different balance. Each currency and each jar has its own statement, and transfers between them show on both sides. Generate a PDF for every balance you used that month.

You downloaded a CSV instead of a statement

The CSV export is a bare transaction list with no printed balances, so it can't be reconciled. Rerun the download and pick the PDF statement format.

The business profile is closed

Download every month before closing; access ends with the account. If it's already closed, contact Wise support, which can generally provide statement copies for tax and wind-down needs.

Common questions

How many months of Wise Business statements should I download?

For a profit & loss statement, download every month in the period you want to cover; most business loans ask for 3, 6, or 12 months. RapidPnL covers 3 statement-months for $49, then $9 per additional month.

Should I download a PDF or export transactions to Excel/CSV?

Download the monthly statement PDF. A transaction export usually lacks the beginning and ending balances that let RapidPnL prove every statement reconciles to the penny. The official PDF has them.

How far back do Wise Business statements go online?

Wise keeps your full transaction history for the life of the account, so statements can be generated for any past period.

Do credit card statements work too?

Yes. Upload your business checking and any business credit card statements together. RapidPnL matches card payments to your bank so nothing gets double-counted.

What happens if a statement doesn't reconcile?

Every statement is checked: beginning balance plus every transaction must equal the printed ending balance. Anything that doesn't reconcile is flagged and reviewed instead of being delivered silently, and if your statements can't be reconciled at all, you get a full refund.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. One statement of up to 15 pages runs free (an account is required) and the result appears on screen. There is also an interactive demo built on fictional data if you'd rather look around first.
