How to download your Bluevine statements

The fastest way to get the monthly PDF statements from Bluevine that you need for a profit & loss statement: the official PDFs, with the printed balances that let every figure reconcile.

UPDATED JULY 2026 · WRITTEN BY A LICENSED CPA · RAPIDPNL
THE SHORT VERSION
  • Statements sit in a Statements or Documents area of the dashboard; both the website and the app can reach them.
  • Each monthly cycle produces one PDF, and several years typically stay available; support can supply older ones.
  • Take the monthly statement PDF rather than the transaction export. Exports carry no printed balances and fail reconciliation.
  • If you also use Bluevine's line of credit or credit card, those documents are separate from the checking statement; a P&L order needs the checking and card statements, not loan paperwork.
  • Statements are electronic; there is no mailed copy to wait on.

Where Bluevine keeps your statements

Dashboard → Statements / Documents

Statements are easiest to download on a desktop browser rather than the mobile app. If the exact wording differs from the steps below, look for “Statements” or “Statements & Documents”; banks tuck it under the account or a top-level menu.

Step by step

  1. 01Sign in at bluevine.com on a desktop browser; the web dashboard is the fullest view of your account.
  2. 02Open the menu for your checking account and look for “Statements” or “Documents.”
  3. 03Pick the statement month you need.
  4. 04Open the PDF and download it.
  5. 05Repeat for each month, and for any Bluevine credit card you hold.
Download the PDF, not a screenshot or a spreadsheet export. RapidPnL reads the official statement PDF because it carries the beginning and ending balances. That's what lets us prove your P&L reconciles to the penny.

From the mobile app

The desktop site is the reliable route, but if you only have your phone, most months are reachable from the app too. Menu placement changes more often on mobile, so treat these as the general path rather than exact taps.

  1. 01Open the Bluevine app and sign in.
  2. 02Head to the account menu or settings and find statements or documents.
  3. 03Select the month and save the PDF from the viewer.
  4. 04The app and website show the same archive, so use whichever is easier; the desktop site is usually simpler for saving a run of months.

How far back can you go?

Bluevine issues a statement for each monthly cycle and typically keeps several years available online; ask support for older copies. If you need older statements than appear online, contact the bank to request them.

Turn those statements into a P&L

Upload the PDFs and get a management-use profit & loss in minutes, with every statement reconciled to the penny. $49 for 3 months, then $9 each additional month. Full refund if we can't reconcile.

The free statement is read, categorized, and reconciled on screen before you pay anything. One per person; no card required.

What the statement PDF contains, and why it matters

A monthly statement is more than a list of transactions. It prints three things a raw export never does: the beginning balance, the ending balance, and the totals for the cycle. Those printed balances are what make the document verifiable. RapidPnL adds the beginning balance to every transaction on the statement and checks that the result equals the printed ending balance, to the penny. If the math holds, you know nothing was missed, misread, or counted twice. If it doesn't, the statement is flagged and reviewed rather than quietly delivered with broken numbers. No AI-generated figure ever lands on the P&L; the AI only reads and categorizes, and deterministic code does all of the arithmetic.

This is exactly why transaction exports and screenshots fall short. A CSV export is a bare list with no printed balances, so there is nothing independent to check it against; a missing week or a duplicated day would pass unnoticed. Screenshots and photos are worse: they capture part of a page, at whatever quality your screen and camera allow, with no totals at all. The official monthly statement PDF is the one document your bank has already committed to, balances included, which is why it's the required input.

Format matters too. Statements downloaded from your bank's website are text-based PDFs: the characters are real text that software can read precisely. A scanned paper statement is a picture of text, and pictures introduce read errors that no reconciliation gate can fully repair. If all you have is paper, it's almost always faster to download the digital original from online banking than to scan. Each PDF can be up to 10 MB, which comfortably fits even long business statements.

Finally, gather everything in one pass. If the business runs through a checking account, a savings account, and a credit card, download all of them for every month in your period. RapidPnL matches card payments between the bank and card statements so the payment isn't counted once as a bank withdrawal and again as card spending, and transfers between your own accounts are excluded from income and expenses entirely. One complete set of PDFs, uploaded together, produces one clean P&L; a partial set leaves gaps you would otherwise have to explain to a lender.

If something goes wrong

The problems below cover most of what goes sideways when downloading statements from Bluevine, with the quickest way out of each.

No statements option in the menu

Look under settings or the documents area rather than the activity list. Bluevine has moved this between menus, but the PDFs themselves stay put; the web dashboard is the dependable route.

The export you downloaded won't reconcile

A date-range export is a bare transaction list. Only the monthly statement PDF prints the beginning and ending balances the math is checked against, so download that instead.

A month seems to be skipped

Statements appear a few days after each cycle closes, and an account opened mid-month gets its first statement after the first full cycle. Check the cycle dates on neighboring statements before assuming a gap.

You see line-of-credit documents, not bank statements

Bluevine files lending documents alongside banking ones. Filter to the checking account; the monthly checking statement is the document a P&L is built from.

The account is closed

Download the history while your login lasts. After that, Bluevine support can provide copies of specific months on request.

Common questions

How many months of Bluevine statements should I download?

For a profit & loss statement, download every month in the period you want to cover; most business loans ask for 3, 6, or 12 months. RapidPnL covers 3 statement-months for $49, then $9 per additional month.

Should I download a PDF or export transactions to Excel/CSV?

Download the monthly statement PDF. A transaction export usually lacks the beginning and ending balances that let RapidPnL prove every statement reconciles to the penny. The official PDF has them.

How far back do Bluevine statements go online?

Bluevine issues a statement for each monthly cycle and typically keeps several years available online; ask support for older copies.

Do credit card statements work too?

Yes. Upload your business checking and any business credit card statements together. RapidPnL matches card payments to your bank so nothing gets double-counted.

What happens if a statement doesn't reconcile?

Every statement is checked: beginning balance plus every transaction must equal the printed ending balance. Anything that doesn't reconcile is flagged and reviewed instead of being delivered silently, and if your statements can't be reconciled at all, you get a full refund.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. One statement of up to 15 pages runs free (an account is required) and the result appears on screen. There is also an interactive demo built on fictional data if you'd rather look around first.
