How your statements are protected
Bank statements are sensitive documents. Here is the full data-handling model, in plain English, written by the licensed CPA who built RapidPnL.
We never ask for bank credentials
RapidPnL works from statement PDFs you download yourself. There is no bank login, no account linking, and no third-party aggregator with standing access to your accounts. The only thing we ever hold is the documents you chose to upload.
Encryption
All traffic runs over TLS (HTTPS), enforced with strict transport security. Data at rest lives on managed, encrypted infrastructure in the United States.
Deletion is scheduled, not requested
Uploaded statement PDFs are deleted from production systems within 30 days automatically; unpaid uploads are deleted within 72 hours. Your finished report stays available at its private link for 12 months, after which the record is redacted: report contents, contact details, and access links are removed. None of this requires you to ask.
No passwords, anywhere
There is no password to create, reuse, or leak. Sign-in works by a single-use link sent to your email that expires in 15 minutes. Report links are private, unguessable URLs; treat them like a key, or skip links entirely and sign in instead.
Payments never touch our servers
Checkout is handled entirely by Stripe, the payment processor behind much of the internet. Your card number is never sent to, stored by, or visible to RapidPnL.
What the AI sees, and doesn't decide
Statement contents are processed by Anthropic's Claude models under API terms that do not permit training on your data. The AI only reads and categorizes; every number on your report is computed by deterministic software and proven against your statements' printed balances. If a statement doesn't reconcile to the penny, the report says so.
Hardening
Strict content-security policy, no third-party scripts on any page that can see your data, rate limiting on every public endpoint, and fail-closed access control: anything without the right credential returns nothing, not an error page with hints.
