Built by a licensed CPA who got tired of the scramble
RapidPnL is built and run by a licensed CPA (New Jersey). Small business owners scramble every time a lender, landlord, or insurance auditor asks for a simple profit & loss, and they pay catch-up bookkeeping rates for what their bank statements already contained. This product is the shortcut that should have existed: statements in, reconciled P&L out, minutes instead of weeks.
A note on the name you won't find here yet: the byline stays “a licensed CPA” rather than a personal signature until the product has earned it against our own quality bar: a growing regression corpus of real statements, verified accuracy across the major banks, and enough delivered orders with zero silent categorization misses. A CPA license means something; attaching it to software is a promise we intend to make carefully. The CPA-prepared tier is different. That work is personal, signed, and under a formal engagement letter.
The standards the software holds itself to
- AI reads; arithmetic reports. AI extracts and categorizes transactions. It never produces a number on your P&L. Every figure is plain arithmetic over statement lines, traceable to its source.
- Reconcile or say so. Every statement must prove that beginning balance plus every transaction equals the ending balance, to the penny. One that doesn't is flagged to you, never silently delivered, and refunded if we can't fix it together.
- Ask, don't guess. Anything the categorizer isn't confident about becomes a question for you before the report exists. A plausible-looking wrong P&L is worse than a short review.
- Your statements are not an asset. Encrypted in transit and at rest, never used to train AI models, deleted from production systems 30 days after your order. The full model is on the security page.
- Labeled honestly. The $49 report is management-use, cash-basis, and says so on its face. It is not an audit, a review, or a compilation. When you need CPA-prepared statements, that's a different service and priced like one.
