Someone asked you for a P&L. All you have is bank statements.
Upload the PDF statements from your bank and cards. Minutes later, download a management-use profit & loss: your numbers organized for running the business, ready to hand to whoever asked. Every statement checked against its own balances, and anything uncertain flagged for your review.
That card is an illustration. To open the real thing on fictional statements, with no signup and nothing to upload:
How it works
Drop in PDF statements for the accounts you want covered. Checking, savings, credit cards. Files are encrypted the moment they leave your browser.
We read every transaction on every statement, add them back up, and require the total to match the ending balance your bank printed. If it is off by a penny, you hear about it. Then each transaction gets a category.
Confirm anything we flagged, then download your P&L as PDF or Excel. A copy lands in your inbox.
Numbers you can trust
CHECKS RUN ON EVERY ORDEROpening balance plus every transaction equals the closing balance, on every statement. When one doesn't, we tell you exactly which and by how much.
PASS ✓We read every line on your statements and add them up. Nothing is estimated, averaged, or rounded off. Every figure traces back to a line on a statement you gave us.
PASS ✓Transfers between your own accounts, card payments, and owner draws stay out of profit.
PASS ✓Encrypted at rest. Never used to train AI models. Deleted 30 days after your order.
PASS ✓Your statements, on the record
Bank statements are sensitive. RapidPnL was built by a licensed CPA who treats them that way. Here is exactly what happens to yours, from the moment you upload to the moment we erase them. Read the full security overview →
Encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256. Your files never sit unprotected.
Used for one purpose: building your report.
Your P&L stays available at its private link for 12 months. Statements stay encrypted the entire time.
Your uploaded statements are deleted from our production systems, automatically (encrypted backups age out within ~30 more days). Want them gone sooner? One email.
Pricing
For comparison: outsourced bookkeeping commonly runs $300 to $800 a month, and an hour of a CPA's time is often more than a full year here. Statement converters cost less than both and hand back a spreadsheet of rows, not a reconciled profit & loss.
GUARANTEE
- Three months of statements, unlimited accounts: you pay per month covered, never per account
- Reconciliation check on every statement
- PDF, Excel, and a ledger CSV for QuickBooks, Wave, or Xero
- Full refund if a statement cannot be reconciled
- Many landlords and lenders accept a management-use P&L; ask what they need
LENDER REQUESTS
- A whole calendar year in monthly columns, with year totals your preparer can file from
- Same reconciliation check on all twelve statements
- One report for the whole year instead of four to stitch together
- Works out to about $21 a month of covered books
For when the person asking insists on CPA-signed financials. A licensed CPA prepares your statements, including a balance sheet, under a formal engagement letter with their signature behind it.
- Profit & loss, professionally prepared
- Balance sheet compiled with you by the CPA
- Formal engagement letter, signed by a licensed CPA
A month = one calendar month of statements, however many accounts cover it. Two accounts in the same month still count once.
F.A.Q.
ASKED BEFORE ORDERING- Who is behind RapidPnL?
- RapidPnL was built by a CPA licensed in New Jersey (license #20CC04559400, verifiable with the state) who got tired of watching business owners struggle to produce a simple P&L. The software tier is automated (and clearly labeled as management-use, not CPA-reviewed); the CPA-prepared tier is handled by that same CPA personally, under a formal engagement letter.
- What do I need to upload?
- Text-based PDF statements downloaded from your bank or card issuer's website. Scanned or photographed statements aren't supported yet. Password-protected PDFs are fine: you unlock them right in your browser at upload, and the password never leaves your machine.
- Who can see my statements?
- Automated systems, and that's it. No employee browses your statements; access is restricted, logged, and limited to debugging a problem you report to us.
- Does this replace my bookkeeper or CPA?
- No. RapidPnL produces a cash-basis snapshot for management use: a fast, honest look at where money came from and where it went. Add professional preparation when you need a CPA's signature.
- Do I get the raw transactions as a spreadsheet, like a bank statement converter?
- Yes. Every order includes an Excel workbook listing every transaction (date, vendor, description, amount, category) plus a plain ledger CSV built for importing into QuickBooks, Wave, or Xero. The converter output is a byproduct of building your P&L, included at no extra charge.
- How do you prevent double-counting?
- We detect transfers between your own accounts and credit card payments from checking, and keep them out of income and expenses. You review anything we're unsure about before the report is final.
- What happens to my statements?
- Encrypted at rest, used only to generate your report, never used to train AI models, and automatically deleted 30 days after your order. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
- What if a statement doesn't reconcile?
- We tell you exactly which statement is off and by how much. If we can't fix it together, you get a full refund.
- How long does it take?
- Most orders are ready to review in 3 to 10 minutes; a full year of statements across several accounts can take 20 to 30 minutes. You'll see live progress while it runs, and we email you the moment it's ready, so there's no need to keep the tab open. The review itself usually takes about two minutes.
- Which banks are supported?
- RapidPnL reads the statement itself rather than a bank-specific template, so there is no supported-bank list to check against: text-based PDF statements from any U.S. bank or card issuer are worth trying. The guarantee is what makes that safe to say. Every statement must pass the to-the-penny reconciliation check, so a format we read incorrectly fails loudly and is refunded, never delivered silently wrong.
- My bank only exports CSV. Can I use that?
- Not yet. Upload the PDF statement instead. Every bank that offers CSV export also posts PDF statements (usually under "Statements & Documents"), and the PDF carries the printed opening and closing balances we reconcile against. That is what makes the report trustworthy. CSV import is on the roadmap.
- I'm an accountant or bookkeeper. Can I use this for clients?
- Yes, and it is built for it. Each order is its own business with its own private link, so client files never mix, and the category corrections you make are remembered for that client's next order. Nothing here is management-use only by accident: the report is labelled as such, so you stay the one who signs anything a lender or the IRS will see.
