Convert bank statements to Excel, with the math proven
Upload statement PDFs and get back a clean, categorized Excel ledger (date, vendor, amount, category), a CSV that imports into QuickBooks, and a finished P&L. Every statement is reconciled against its printed balances to the penny before anything is delivered, or your money back.
- Excel workbook: one row per transaction, filter-ready, with a P&L sheet on live formulas
- CSV ledger for QuickBooks, Wave, or Xero imports
- A management-use P&L: monthly columns, cash flow, plain-English notes
- The reconciliation proof: beginning balance + every transaction = printed ending balance, per statement
How it works
- 01Download your statement PDFs from online banking (text PDFs, not scans).
- 02Upload them at rapidpnl.com/start; a free scan maps your months and accounts before you pay.
- 03AI reads and categorizes every transaction; deterministic code does all the math and reconciles every statement to the penny.
- 04Review the handful of items we weren't sure about (about two minutes), then download the Excel workbook, CSV ledger, and P&L report.
Why conversion alone isn't the job
Getting statement rows into a spreadsheet is the easy 80 percent. The hard 20 percent is what makes the numbers usable: knowing every row made it across (reconciliation), keeping transfers and card payments from counting twice, and putting each transaction in a category a lender or preparer will recognize. Page-metered converters leave all three to you; our honest comparison against statement converters walks through the difference line by line. If you just want to sanity-check your files first, the free in-browser statement checker runs without uploading anything, and password-protected PDFs can be unlocked right in your browser at upload.
The arithmetic rule behind everything: AI reads and categorizes, but every number on the deliverables comes from deterministic code adding up statement lines. If a statement won't reconcile, you get told exactly which one and by how much, and if we can't fix it together, you get a refund instead of a spreadsheet with soft numbers.
$49 covers 3 statement-months, $9 each additional. Excel, CSV, and the P&L are all included.
Common questions
A real .xlsx workbook: a Transactions sheet with one row per transaction (date, month, account, vendor, raw description, amount, category), filterable and sortable out of the box, plus the P&L itself with live formulas and a categorized-ledger CSV that imports into QuickBooks, Wave, or Xero.
Converters stop at rows in a spreadsheet and leave the checking to you. Here every statement must pass the reconciliation test (beginning balance plus every transaction equals the printed ending balance, to the penny) before anything is delivered, and the rows come back categorized. If your statements can't be reconciled, you get a refund, not a maybe-complete CSV.
No, and we tell you before you pay. A scanned statement is a picture of text, and guessing at pictures is how a digit goes wrong. Our free in-browser checker spots scans, password protection, and oversized files before you upload anything.
$49 covers up to 3 statement-months across any number of accounts; each additional month is $9. A typical full year lands around $130. One-time, no subscription, and the Excel, CSV, and PDF are all included.
Most orders process in 3 to 10 minutes after upload, plus a short guided review of anything the categorizer wasn't sure about. You watch each statement tick off live.
Statements are encrypted in transit and at rest, never used to train AI models, and deleted from production within 30 days of your order. Report pages carry no third-party scripts.
